  • Detailed Information

Barley (Shiny Millberry) is a premium grade of bright bare copper wire scrap obtained from high-voltage power cables after the insulation has been completely removed. It consists of clean, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire with a diameter of 1.3 mm (16 AWG) or larger, free from impurities, oxidation, paint, enamel, and other foreign metals.

Material containing cable lugs, thick rubber insulation, oversized bundles, tangled wires, or any non-copper contaminants is not accepted. Due to its exceptionally high copper purity and excellent recovery yield, Barley (Shiny Millberry) is one of the most valuable grades of copper scrap. It is widely recycled into electrical conductors, copper rods, cables, and various other copper products, making it highly sought after in the global recycling market.
